A
gorgeous Czech perfume bottle. As large as it is lovely,
the bottle is 9" tall and has a star pattern cut
all the way around. The teardrop-shaped stopper has
an attached dauber. Marked on the bottom with the acid-etched
mark "Made in Czechoslovakia." The bottle
is in very good condition with some minor nicks on high
spots that are virtually invisible to the naked eye
but seen with 10x magnification. There is a small chip
on the top of the stopper and a scratch on the dauber.
No major chips, cracks or repairs on either the stopper
or bottle. Good clarity, no haziness. A lovely item
for the collector. ID=CZ43
Czechoslovakian
cut glass perfume bottle. The height including the stopper
is about 5". The widest width is 3". The base
is heavy cut glass. It is marked on the bottom with an
acid etched circle with "made in Czechoslovakia"
inside the circle but it hard to see unless you get it
just right. These bottles were made between the wars,
about 1915-1935. The stopper has an intaglio cut with
a decoration of roses and leaves cut into one side. The
stopper is a rectangle and has cut scalloped edges on
both sides. The stopper is taller than the bottle at 3"
with the bottle alone being 2". The bottle is not
cloudy and is very brilliant with a heavy cut. The only
flaw is the dauber is missing. ID=CZ44

Perfume Bottles and Boudoir Accessories,
by Jacquelyne Jones-North, Ken Leach, Ruth Forsythe, France
This
classic book has been out of print for five years, and
used copies have actually sold for $200 on the Internet.
Now this volume is back in print in a greatly expanded,
revised edition. All pages of the original edition have
been retained and more than 800 perfume bottles are shown
in color. The revised edition adds new essays by three
leading perfume bottle authorities. Ken Leach describes
America's fascination with perfume bottles and related
items (c. 1910-1950), with special attention to the role
played by Hollywood. Ruth Forsythe writes about recent
reproductions of Czech perfume bottles. Madeleine France
provides new historical perspectives and offers a hierarchy
of perfume bottle categories to aid the collector.
Accompanying these essays are 62 new photographs in spectacular
color. With the addition of this new material, the book
has expanded from 128 to 16 pages. An up-to-date 1999
price guide concludes the work. This book provides essential
information to collectors, and is a visual delight to
all lovers of beauty.

This
bottle is acid signed on the bottom in an oval - approx
3 7/8" tall - gold/amber color - clear with a frosted
floral band on the bottle and a matching band on the
stopper - the dauber is broken off - in good shape -
tiny chiggers around the opening and 3/4 tiny ones on

Wonderful
jeweled Morlee Crystal perfume bottle made in Czechoslovakia.
It stands 7-1/2" with a beautiful filigree skirt
containing faceted jewels (one of the small stones missing).
Top is complete with just a pinhead ding along side
that is difficult to find but noted. Marked on base
as shown. Dauber intack ID=CZ51
This
is a stunning, tall old Czech perfume bottle. It is
wonderful condition, especially for its age (1920's).
The base has a rough edge and a couple of pinpricks,
but you have to look hard to find them, as it displays
perfectly. The stopper is mint, right down to the dauber!
Both stopper and base are blue. The base is marked "Made
in Czechoslovakia" in acid-etch, and it stands
approx. 6 3/4" tall. This is truly a great find
- an elegant, old original Czech perfume.

This
is a vintage miniature perfume bottle from CZECHOSLOVAKIA.
It is 2 7/8 inches tall and 1 5/8 wide. The bottle is
a pale blue cut glass that you can see through. The
sides are frosted, and the front and back have a unique
design of Frosted Lily of the Valley flowers that have
been cut into the glass so that the front and back are
recessed where the flowers are. At the top of the bottle
is a brass casing for the opening of the bottle which
has CZECHOSLOVAKIA stamped into the brass. The lid is
brass with a pretty light blue cone shaped jewel in
the center and a glass dauber attached underneath. It
screws into the brass case opening. The bottom of the
bottle is a very shiny, smooth clean cut glass. The
brass casing at the top has a nice patina from age,
and the bottle is in excellent condition with the exception
of 1 tiny fleabit. ID=CZ53
